Thx, SparrowDown, I am always interested in what type of thing helps people awaken... Sometimes doctrine, sometimes just the simple everyday "what are these people realllllllly like" situations.... like not really being as "loving" or "do unto your neighbor as your self" or being more interested in who is rich and popular...

Sometimes that is what helps people recognize this is not "the truth," or "holy spirit" is not directing these people, or "what is Jesus doing in heaven for these last 100+ years? does he allow this? does he direct this?"

quickbuild's are something the jws crow about a lot as evidence of yahweh's "spirit" working on them, but amongst the puffery' there was a solid fact that the buildings were often the result of good planning rather than divine assistance.. and, in most cases the buildings were seldom built in a weekend.

a concrete slab foundation needed time to dry out before walls could be built.

and before the slab could be poured, the ground had to be levelled and services like plumbing and drainage roughed in.

we know the wtbts fears exposure more than anything.

so what if we made an organized, concerted effort to contact every celebrity jw that we can think of?

I posted the Reveal News / PBS story on my Facebook page, then friends posted, and their workmates became aware. Pretty good results! My DIL was being shunned at work, she is not DF'd, but does not attend my son WAS DF'D for being a truth teller, NOW her boss & worldly coworkers are aware & supportive! Awareness does grow exponentially! :-)

Theocratic Warfare - Is it in writing?

i'm just wondering if the theocratic warfare doctrine is anywhere in writing or if it's a word-of-mouth kind of thing where it's mentioned at elder's school, but not put in writing.. anyone?.

Very interesting, StuckInaRut2! I remember the melody of that song, so I looked it up in the 2009 Song Book..Song 125, "Loyally Submitting to Theocratic Order" is the one you are thinking of "Loyal submission in recognition, This to our God we owe, He gives protection, tender affection, Loyalty to Him we owe." That's the chorus. In one part of the song it says, " Theocratic order, they must all obey".... and I started to think, 'Hey, maybe they changed it in this one...'

So, I go to the library, take out our 1984 song book, and look in the back. In this songbook, they have songs listed by subject. Guess what one of the subject is? "Theocratic Warfare"

In the 1984 song book, this "Loyally Submitting" song is number 8. (Interestingly, it's not under the subject "Theocratic Warfare", it's under "Christian Qualities )

Verse 2 says, " Jesus Christ our leader, is in full control, he equips his soldiers, that he does enroll. 'Tis a spiritual warfare, so we have to act, As a group united, Close knit and compact"

i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.

she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

the program is 30 minutes long and this segment is only one part of the show.

So true, Gone and Forgotten. You don't know how many people got DF'd because they refused to cover up this wrongdoing, and are still feeling the pain, while the 'still innners' feel very righteous because they 'go to meetings.'
